This is the website of Casa da Oliveira, Rua Manuel de Oliveira Nobre 51, 8700-498 Olhão, Portugal, a holiday house owned by Ollie and Paula. We decide how the information below is used. To reach us, use the "Need help?" button on any page.

The "Need help?" form asks for your name, your email address, the dates you have in mind if you want to give them, and your question. When you send it, it comes to us by email, through an email-sending service called Resend. The website itself keeps no copy.

We use it only to answer you. We keep the email for as long as the conversation - and any stay that comes of it - needs, and we never sell it, share it for marketing or add you to a mailing list.

Booking happens on the sites we link to - Cubic Houses Olhão, Airbnb and Booking.com - not on this website. Their own privacy policies cover what you give them.

The guest reviews are shown by a widget from Elfsight, which collects them from Airbnb and Booking.com. To show them, your browser connects to Elfsight's servers, and to Airbnb's and Booking.com's for the guests' pictures, so those companies see the usual technical details of any web request, such as your IP address.

Elfsight sets two small cookies: one that notes the widget was recently viewed, and one from Cloudflare, the network it runs on, that helps deliver it reliably and securely. Neither is used for advertising. You can read Elfsight's own policy at elfsight.com/privacy-policy.

The map is drawn by this website from OpenStreetMap's open data, so no map company is contacted while you look at it. Only if you follow the link for directions does Google Maps open, under Google's own terms. The typefaces are served from this website too.

There are no analytics, no tracking and no advertising cookies. Like every website, the company that hosts it keeps short technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security, and deletes them after a short time.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it - use the "Need help?" button and we will reply. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to Portugal's data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt), or to the one where you live, such as the ICO in the UK.
